The Dark Knight Returns by ChrisMcJunkin The Dark Knight Returns by ChrisMcJunkin
I first stumbled upon TDKR when I was in elementary school, probably third grade or so. Admittedly it was a bit mature for a kid of that age in retrospect but I loved it because it was completely different than any other comic I had seen up until that point. It was dark, dangerous and just awe-inspiring. It was everything a comic should be. I still love this book to this day.

TDKR along with Arkham Asylum are my two favorite Batman books to date.

Well the newest Batman Begins makes quite a few head nods to TDKR. Did you not like that one?

Yeah I know. Most of the time, I don't like rewatching a movie until a couple months or years later, but almost immediately I wanted to rewatch Batman Begins. By the way have you seen the trailer for Spidey 3?

Yeah, I kinda' went into Batman Begins hoping for the best but being prepared for the worst. All I gotta' say is it floored me and went way beyond what my expectations could have ever been.

Are you referring to the new trailer that's got Eddie Brock at the beginning in the church? Saw that one at 300 and I just thought to myself "I need to see this !@#$ing movie now!" It looks like its gonna' be great.

I am worried about it. They are making the same mistake as the early batman's trying to jam in to many villains. Sandman, Green Goblin II, and Venom? How are those even related? And why are they bringing back Gwen Stacey? That makes no sense! Plus Sandman is a stupid villain, Mystereo was way cool. It may still be good. I guess I feel the same as you did about Batman Begins. Hoping for it to be good, and preparing for the worst.

I had/have the same worries about the number of villains this time around. From everything I've been seeing though I don't think Goblin II is going to have lots and lots of screen time. I'm rather confused about the whole dynamic with Sandman and how they're playing him up to be Uncle Ben's "real" killer. Ugh. And we've seen very very little of the actual Eddie Brock Venom (though I'm imagining they're trying to keep that under wraps as much as possible). I'm curious to see what exactly they have in mind with Stacey and I'm really (and surprisingly) eager to see Topher Grace's portrayal of Brock.

I thought Sandman was an interesting villain when written right. Somebody that's constantly tyring to reform but not quite bright enough to stay out of trouble. I don't really get the vibe that Raimi is approaching the character that way though.

I've yet to be let down by any of Raimi's flicks so I'm hoping for the best. Then again, everybody screws up eventually.:P
